Last year was a turning point of my life. I took a hard decision of shifting my career as a Web Design Professional heading Orangis Online founded by me 12 years back to a corporate job as a Digital Marketing Trainer in a private limited company in Kochi. It took me about 8 months of job search to land on a job. In April 2018, I decided to plan to make a shift from the current job since I was doing the same thing over and over again for a decade. Then I got interviewed by a Saudi based company for a position in Bangalore for a good salary. The interview was strenuous and the methods of the recruiter, an Arab gentleman with american accent was also unorthodox. But yet they provided me the offer and just when I was about to join their company and sign the contract, they stopped all communications. After that till October 2018, I practiced visited my office on time and trained myself on working daytime on a schedule. In October 2018, I applied to a Trainer job though I did not had any training experience and I got it. Now I am presently working in that job as a Trainer in Digital Marketing Strategies. Yes I definitely miss Orangis Online, the client meetings, the traveling and offline marketing strategies. But I am very happy now that Orangis Online is doing great and even better without me. I got enough time to learn, research many things as well as educate trainees. This was the thing I missed often in the previous job.
It is very difficult to adapt to the new situation once you have enjoyed all the perks of running a company, giving salaries and enjoying holidays at wish. But I adapted it well. This was a much needed change and I adapted to it.
