Temple Worship & Ishvara Upasana

Temples are social common places for group worship and prayers.They do not have any relationship to Ishvara Upasana.But people have the freedom.So they imagine that the Nandi statue can hear the worries they say in it's ears.A group of people will install stone or statue at a temple and conduct prayers there.Outside the room where this ceremony is done, common people will bring fruits, flowers, milk and ghee and keep it there.It will be taken and dropped on the Idol in the temple imagining in the mind that it is prasada and the devotees will eat the prasad.Such a system of temple upasana was formulated by our ancestors and is in place.Those who believe in this systems are present in large numbers.That is why temples like Tirupathi, Sabarimala and Guruvayoor makes lot of money.In Manjunatha temple, food is being served like a well oiled machine.In crowded places, chance of upasana to happen is rare.But chance is there for many other things to happen.Many pilgrims were dead due to stampedes in Sabarimala.Similiar tragedy happened for haj pilgrimage too.

Those who express doubt in this worship system is viewed as an alien initially and then branded as an athiest.Along with this sermons are given about positive energy and negative energy as well as radiation.

It is because of the presence of alternative worship system that common people have not even heard about Sandhyopasana and Agnihotram.Bhagwan Srikrishna has told about a Kshetram which is Idam Shareeram Kountheya Ksethramithyabhidheeyathe and that kshetram is the human body.So a temle should be given reverance as a cultural place and goodness given by the ancestors but should not be given a significance other than this.Bhagwan Srikrishna who went for mediation stopped the chariot and did Sandhyavandanam at dusk.Similiarly Sreerama and Seethadevi too followed Sandhyavandanam.So Sandhyavandanam should be the process we should follow for ishvara upasana (sitting near god).Changes will definitely happen at individual level.God is without bias so he/she cannot act against the law of karma or give you unnatural wonders that violate his own cosmic laws

സാമൂഹിക പ്രാർത്ഥനാകേന്ദ്രങ്ങളാണ് ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങൾ.ആളുകൾ അവിടെ ചെന്ന് പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കുന്നു.അതിന് ഈശ്വരോപാസനയുമായി ബന്ധമില്ല .പക്ഷെ ആളുകൾക്ക് സങ്കൽപ്പിക്കാൻ സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യം ഉള്ളത് കൊണ്ട് നന്ദിയുടെ പ്രതിമയുടെ ചെവിയിൽ സംസാരിക്കുകയും ഒക്കെ ചെയ്യുന്നത് കാണാം.അത് പോലെ വിഗ്രഹം , കല്ല് ഒക്കെ കുറെ ആളുകൾ ചേർന്ന് പ്രതിഷ്ഠിച്ചതിൽ പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കുകയും മറ്റും ചെയ്യും. ഇത് ചെയ്യുന്ന മുറിക്ക് പുറത്ത് പുരോഹിതർ അല്ലാത്ത സാധാരണ ഭക്തർ വന്നു പൂവും പഴവും പാലും നെയ്യും മറ്റും കൊണ്ട് വെയ്ക്കും. ഇത് ക്ഷേത്രവിഗ്രഹത്തിൽ ഒഴിക്കും എന്നിട്ട് ഇത് പ്രസാദമാണെന്ന് സങ്കൽപ്പിച്ചു ഭക്തന്മാർ കഴിക്കും.അത് ഒരു തരം ഉപാസനാപദ്ധതിയാക്കി വെച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട് . ഇതിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവരും ആചരിക്കുന്നവരുമാണ് ഭൂരിപക്ഷവും .അതിനാലാണ് ശബരിമല , തിരുപ്പതി , ഗുരുവായൂർ എന്നിവിടങ്ങൾ വളരെ അധികം ധനം ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്നത്. മഞ്ജുനാഥക്ഷേത്രത്തിലും മറ്റും എണ്ണയിട്ട യന്ത്രം കണക്കെ സദ്യ തയാറാക്കുകയും വിളമ്പുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.ആള് കൂടുന്നിടത്ത് ഉപാസന നടക്കില്ല മറ്റ് പലതും നടക്കാൻ സാധ്യത ഉണ്ട് എന്ന ആശങ്ക സ്വാഭാവികമാണ്. ശബരിമലയിൽ തന്നെ ജനബാഹുല്യം കാരണം ഭക്തജനങ്ങൾ മരണപ്പെട്ടു.ഇത് തന്നെ ഹജ്ജിലും സംഭവിക്കാറുണ്ട്.ഇതിൽ സംശയം പ്രകടിപ്പിക്കുന്നവരെ ഒരു മാതിരി അന്യഗ്രഹജീവിയെ പോലെ തരം തിരിക്കും.പിന്നെ നീരീശ്വരവാദി എന്ന് ഉറപ്പിക്കും.പോരെങ്കിൽ പോസിറ്റിവ് എനർജി ,റേഡിയേഷൻ എന്നൊക്കെ പറയും.സന്ധ്യോപാസന , അഗ്നിഹോത്രം എന്നീ അനുഷ്ഠാനങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടെന്ന് പോലും പൊതുജനങ്ങൾക്ക് അറിയാത്തത് ഇന്ന് പ്രചാരത്തിലുള്ള സമാന്തര ആരാധനാ രീതി ഉള്ളത് കൊണ്ടാണ്.ഇദം ശരീരം കൗന്തേയ ക്ഷേത്രമിത്യഭിധീയതേ എന്ന് ഭഗവാൻ ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണൻ പറഞ്ഞത് അമ്പലത്തെ പറ്റി അല്ലാത്തത് കൊണ്ട് അമ്പലം ഒരു സംസ്കാരത്തിൻെറ ഭാഗമായ നന്മ എന്നതിൽ കവിഞ്ഞു പ്രാധാന്യം കൊടുക്കേണ്ടതില്ല.മാത്രമല്ല ദൂതിന് പോയ ശ്രീകൃഷ്‌ണൻ യാത്രാമധ്യേ തേര് നിർത്തി സന്ധ്യോപാസനയാണ് ചെയ്തത്. അത് പോലെ ശ്രീരാമനും സീതാദേവിയും അനുഷ്ഠിച്ചിരുന്നത് സന്ധ്യാവന്ദനമായിരുന്നു.അതിനാൽ സന്ധ്യാവന്ദനമായിരിക്കും ഉപാസനക്ക് ചെയ്യേണ്ടത്.വ്യക്തിതലത്തിൽ മാറ്റങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടാകും.ന്യായക്കാരിയായ ഈശ്വരന് സ്വന്തം നിയമങ്ങൾ തെറ്റിച്ചു ദിവ്യാദ്ഭുതങ്ങൾ കാട്ടാനോ കർമവ്യവസ്ഥ തെറ്റിച്ചു പ്രവർത്തിക്കാനോ കഴിയില്ല.

Unless error my understanding of Sabarimala is that the Rituals were devised for the not so literate population of South India as an introduction to spirituality. A package where in both the body and mind is tuned in the most hardship pattern of 41 days. But now we even think of building airports for instant accessibility.
