The election heat is on.Web companies are cashing on the season generated interest in politics.An NRI, Mr. Sanjay Puri have started a political website engagevoter.com .The site is neatly designed but when you sign up you get a confirmation link which seldom works and shows up a parsing error.Irrespective of that you are accepted and can login after some minutes.And no ads as of now.The top rectangular full banner displays ad of the same site.

Yes you can post petitions if you are angry about your ruler.Other users might also gets interested and may join you.

You can vote on different important topics about social issues happening around you.

It was heartening to read the nice review for Engagevoter.com. Just one correction, this site has been launched by Mr. Sanjay Puri, NRI and not Invitratech! Invitratech is a tech partner.

ELECTION COMMISSION OF INDIA’S VOTERS ID CARD DUPLICATE APPLICATION PROCESS

I lost my voter id card issued by the election commission of india. I lost it along with the driving license in 2007. I took Duplicate Driving Licence from the same RTO in 2008.Now I have been postponing the efforts to take duplication voters id card due to various reasons. One election came in between and election people were giving duplicates but I didn’t went. Now local body election happens in Kerala. So I got an information that the election department at the Tehsil (Taluk) office is starting to issue duplicate voter id cards from 08.10.2010.So I drove to mavelikkara  yesterterday  in my Astar and it was raining heavily. I reached there and find a long queue of people.Since I have completed the form before hand, I just need to find my card id number and put the data and place in it.A person employed there took my application form and he checked the number of my family member in the kiosk in the same room.
