Taking a cue from Kerala in promoting health tourism, the Himachal Pradesh government has decided to promote ayurvedic treatment ‘Panchkarma’ on a wider to woo tourists.
Health Minister Rajeev Bindal, who returned from a tour of Kerala recently, has directed the ayurvedic department in the state to prepare a proposal for popularising the same in HP.
In addition to seven ayurvedic hospitals where Panchkarma facility is available in the state, 20 more hospitals would be added to the list. The Govt. has decided to send a group of its doctors to KERALA to undergo a training programme on "Panchakarma treatment of Kerala".
